I'm an artist, with a BFA in graphic design and an art minor. I paint abstractly, which is to say I've always made things from what moves in the heart before the mind catches up.

For more than fifteen years, one question has run underneath everything I've made: what are we, underneath everything we've been told we are?

The answer I kept arriving at was simpler than I expected. We're whole. Already. Every one of us, and equally.

That changes how everything else looks. If worth is complete in everyone, then no one's worth has to be earned, measured, or proven, and no one is placed above or below anyone else. Once I saw that, I could also see what happens when we forget it. We start measuring. We place ourselves and each other higher and lower. And then we start taking: reaching for someone else's worth so we can finally have enough, or giving our own away in hopes of being loved. Most of the fear in the world lives right there.

People soften. They get quieter, kinder, and braver. They become more like themselves.

LE is what I built from that. It's a social platform designed so that no one is placed above anyone else and nothing is taken from you, not your attention and not your worth. There are no public counts and no feed deciding who matters, just people seeing each other as they are.

It's best understood the way I came to understand it: by how it feels to be there.

I'm a mother of three and live in the Midwest. When I'm not building LE, I'm painting, skiing, traveling, chasing live music and good food, or out on my Vespa.
